Wow, so much has happened since I last posted about my Ford F150 running a Megasquirt. To recap, the end goal is to run a Supercharged 99 Ford F150 with a MegaSquirt PNP that was designed for a Mustang. Why? Well, because I can. So, lets MegaSquirt a Ford F150 and this article is progress on this project.

What I MegaSquirt Purchased

For me, the DIYAutoTune Mustang PNP was almost perfect. That is, for the ECU portion then I combined the MicroSquirt to it via the back connector. Thus, MicroSquirt as TCU. Finally, that completed the full package of the PCM. Yes, with this I should be able to control my Engine and Transmission. Last, I purchased a Wideband O2 Sensor and installed in left side front O2 stock location.

MegaSquirt Modifications

Ok, once I had the MegaSquirt ECU I knew I had to modify the configuration. See, I wanted it all to be as contained as possible. So, how could I do this and achieve as close to a PNP configuration as possible? Well, this is where the back connector on the ECU comes in to play. Simply, cut a few internal traces that are duplicated on the standard 104 pin Ford connector. Also, see github project related to this overall project.
